At least that’s what republican party officials seem to be thinking about their selection of Michael Steele as party chair. In the month since his selection, the new party leader , and I use the word leader very loosely, has advocated having a hip-hop rally to broaden the appeal of the GOP, had a shaky interview on CNN and been publicly bitch-slapped by GOP Godfather, Rush Limbaugh. Now there seems to be widespread regret on the part of the real leaders of the republican party over their selection. A leading GOP strategist told US News & World Report. “If his implosion continues, RNC members are likely to call a special session to dump him for an effective chairman.”
